Sunday Guide

Sunday Guide

Sunday is the day when our church family gathers together.

Here is our ‘quick guide’ to the day.

Morning Service (11 for 11.30am)

It all starts at 11am with a freshly brewed coffee or cup of tea.  Then, at 11.30am we move to the main hall where we worship God through singing, praying and hearing the Bible preached.  Typically, at Greenview, we work through a book of the Bible systematically.  That way we leave nothing out!

Sunday School (11.50am-12.30pm)

Greenview aims to be a child-friendly church.  The kids initially join the adults in the morning service but then leave for their own program around 11.50am.  Sunday School is for children aged 3 up to Primary 7.  The children’s program concludes at the same time as the morning service.

Please note that Greenview has an up to date child protection policy, and all of our teachers go through appropriate checks.

Evening Service (6.00pm)

We spend an hour on Sunday evening praising God and hearing his Word.  The early start time allows families with younger children and teenagers to still attend. On the third Sunday of the month, a café follows our evening service.

Breaking of Bread Service (10am)

Three Sundays a month we meet for the Breaking of Bread Service. At this service, we encourage  Christians* to eat the loaf and drink the cup, as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made.  On the first Sunday of each month,  this service is integrated into our Morning Service.

During the summer months, this service is moved to our Evening Service (6pm)

* A Christian is someone who has recognised that they are a sinner and has sought and found forgiveness through the death of Jesus.

Dress code?

Relax, there isn’t one. Just come along in whatever you feel comfortable with.
